Based in historic Wilmington, North Carolina, The Cove focuses on evangelizing, encouraging, educating and enabling our members to grow in a vibrant Christian faith and to share this faith with others. In doing so, The Cove follows the tradition of bringing people in, building them up, training them and sending them out to serve on mission locally, nationally and internationally.
Our efforts to reach others for Christ are organized around our COVEr teams. These teams are groups of our members that may do anything from hosting community parties in local disadvantaged neighborhoods, to heading across the region providing disaster recovery ministries following a natural disaster to participation in international missions activities throughout the year. Other member-led COVEr teams serve at local care facilities, college campuses, conservations and conventions – showing Christ’s light through serving. And in keeping with the “COVEr” theme, all groups are covered in prayer as they cover the world for Christ.
The Cove operates out of a stately iron, stone and wood-warehouse inspired campus, though we serve well beyond these walls. In addition to mission and service opportunities that branch out from our physical location, The Cove will often hold special services and events at the nearby Wilmington Amphitheater, Legion Stadium, and on the University of North Carolina at Wilmington campus.
